No, you're thinking of Janice DeSoto, who ran White Trash, English Acid and later on, Bar Deluxe. For some reason, people seemed to get us mixed up, even though we didn't look alike and did completely different things in the music business (she ran clubs and was a promoter and I was a writer). We even spell our first names differently. About the only thing Janice and I had in common was the fact that we both have black hair.
So just for the record, Janice DeSoto is the small, skinny black-haired girl who ran clubs. Janiss Garza, the writer (me), is the taller, black-haired girl with the boobs.
